Restaurant
& Dinning |
Library
Bistro & Bookstore Bar
In major metropolitan
cities like New York,
Chicago, Los Angeles, and
soon Seattle, libraries are
landmarks and icons. Library
Bistro & Bookstore Bar
brings this same iconic feel
to the restaurant community
as a "new chapter"
opens in Seattle dining.
Library Bistro &
Bookstore Bar is reminiscent
of a 1940s and 1950s-style
restaurant with faux lizard
skin high-back booths,
10-foot high charcoal blue
bookcases displaying
hundreds of books by famous
and infamous authors. The
restaurant is appropriately
illuminated to accent the
warmly colored tangerine
walls, while retro
bubble-raised carpet, oiled
oak floors and contemporary
faux copper and bronze
checkerboard tiles
tastefully decorate the
floors. A cozy, neighborhood
restaurant serving
contemporary American food,
the Library Bistro &
Bookstore Bar will offer
affordable prices in an
environment that is
comforting and welcoming,
enjoyable and entertaining.
MENU
Contemporary American food
with regional influences and
ingredients.
Seasonally-inspired
appetizers include honey/habaňero
roasted chicken wings with a
cooling coriander sipping
cream, roasted ciopollini
onion and pea vine salad
with warm bacon vinaigrette,
and roasted Dungness Crab
legs drizzled with garlic,
lemon and herb sauce served
with garlic bread.
Entrees range from Coriander
braised short ribs with
sweet potato hash and celery
leaves to Maker’s Mark
cured Pork Chops with mashed
potatoes, ruby chard and
pumpkin chutney.
Desserts include peanut
butter jam cake with a
ginger root beer float;
orange panna cotta with
chocolate lang du chats and
maple pudding and spice
poached pears with candied
pecans.
American wines with a focus
on the Pacific Northwest, as
well as signature classic
cocktails inspired by the
1950s include American
Sidecar, Hemingway Daquiri
and Mark Twain cocktail.
